After laying this under our new pond liner, I can already feel the difference in thickness compared to cheaper options. The 5x2m size was perfect for our medium pond, and it cut cleanly with a utility knife. My back is sore from digging, but at least I know roots won't be an issue now.

The flint edge that caused our old liner to fail would’ve done the same to this one, but this underlay is thick enough to actually absorb that pressure. It’s heavy and a bit awkward to move solo, but knowing the pounds of rock below are cushioned makes the wrestling worth it.

The extra width of this 2-meter roll meant I only needed one seam for my entire pond, which saved a lot of hassle. It feels heavy-duty and reassuringly thick compared to the thinner stuff I’ve used before.
