Barley straw is the old-fashioned answer to pond algae, and it still works. Once a bale is wet a natural process begins that combats algae growth - no chemistry involved, and the lavender worked into these bales makes the results significantly better.
It is a 100% natural product, and added to your pond it will produce crystal clear water.
Directions:
- Add 1 straw bale to ponds up to 1200 gallons (5455 Litres).
- Replace every 8 weeks in the spring/summer/autumn period.
- For a persistent algae issue, add 2 bales per 1200 gallons.
